GEOGRAPHY OF ANTARCTICA

Map of Antarctica

GEOGRAPHY OF ANTARCTICA
Antarctica is surrounded  by a number of islands which are called The Sub Antarctic Island.
Which are group a long the Sub Antarctic Circle. These include the South Orkney Islands, the South Georgia Islands, Elephant Island, Cambell Island, Maquarie Island, and many others.

EFFECTS OF GLOBAL WARMING IN ANTARCTICA
1.Global warming is real,it’s happening in the rest of the world quickly.
2. The Antarctic peninsula is particularly sensitive to small rises of the annual average temperature. This has increase about 3*C in the region in the last 50 years, this is about 10 times faster than the average temperature in the rest of the world’s  parts. This makes an excellent study area.
3.The temperature of the rest of  Antarctica from the larger 96℅ of Antarctica shows no current indications of rising temperature.
4. There is no unusual significant loss of ice of any kind from the larger 96℅ of Antarctica that is not the peninsula.
5.Rising  temparatures  may cause ice shelves break – up, as there  floating  already this may not effect sea levels it may cause the glaciers behind them to speed up their flow – rate considerbly. These glaciers will add to sea level rise if they melt.
6. The temperature of  Antarctica as a whole is predicted to rise by small amount over the next 50 years.

CLOSING
WE ALL HAVE TO STOP THE GLOBAL WARMING TO SAVE THE LIFE OF OUR PLANET!
